You need more description. What connecting anything the laptop mean exactly? USB? Monitor? Audio? SD card? Is it an NDI Tools application you are using? Assuming NDI Screen Capture, or is it the HX version?

Are you saying switching a cooling fan on/off is causing the issue? (Sounds like a power problem there). Maybe a step of step of what causes the issue will help determine some troubleshooting ideas.
