Hi,
I'm experiencing an issue after updating to the latest NDI HX Camera on iPhone.
-
On Milumin (Mac, NDI input), the signal is detected — I can see that NDI is receiving something — but the video stays completely black.
-
On QuickTime Player, the NDI camera does not appear as an available input source at all.
-
The same network setup worked fine before the update (NDI HX Camera 5.x).
I’ve already tried:
-
Installing the latest NDI Tools 6.x (and rebooting)
-
Ensuring both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network
-
Checking system permissions (camera & network access)
-
Disabling VPN/Private Relay
But the issue persists.
It looks like the app sends an NDI 6 signal, but Milumin (and possibly macOS-level apps like QuickTime) can’t properly decode it.
Could anyone confirm:
-
Is this a known NDI 6 compatibility issue on macOS?
-
Is there any workaround or patch to make NDI HX Camera 2025.x work with older NDI receivers (like Milumin or QuickTime)?
-
If not, is there a way to re-enable legacy NDI 5 stream mode on iOS?
System details:
-
iPhone 16 (iOS 17.x)
-
MacBook Pro (macOS Sonoma 14.x)
-
NDI HX Camera 2025.x (latest App Store version)
-
NDI Tools 6.0 for Mac
-
Milumin 5.0.14
Thanks in advance — any advice or confirmation would be very helpful!
