How do i send the macOS screen via NDI HX?

How do i send the macOS screen via NDI HX?

by Nicolas Duchateau - Number of replies: 3

Hello,

I can't find any way to send the display from my Mac Mini M4 via NDI HX to a device that can only receive NDI HX sources (Rode Rodecaster Video S). Of course, it works perfectly from a Windows 11 PC (thanks to Screen Capture for work with NDI HX), but on macOS with Scan Converter It doesn't work

Does anyone have any ideas?

The NDI Screen Capture tool on macOS outputs using the High Bandwidth NDI codec. (The vast majority of software applications will output in this format.)

If you have a spare PC, you can use NDI Bridge in Local mode to convert High Bandwidth NDI signals into HX.

Thank you for your response, but I don't have access to a PC for that purpose; it's not even in the same room.
I'm looking for a solution that works on Mac OS. There's no reason why it should work/exist on Windows and not on Mac OS, especially when Macs are more commonly used in the professional world. It doesn't make sense.

I'm not aware of a software HX screen capture tool for macOS at this time. Using NDI Bridge is the only method I'm aware of currently.

The PC running NDI Bridge just needs to be on the network, once you get it running you don't need to access it. Having it close by (in the same room) isn't required, but I think I get what you are saying.
