Hi Mike, sorry to hear you are having issues.
Virtual Input’s role is to convert an NDI source into a webcam device Audio in NDI workflows is also handled by separate, dedicated tools for example, NDI Audio Direct for routing audio into software environments. Audio routing and usage can depend on how the receiving application handles input devices, rather than being fully controlled within Virtual Input itself. My understanding is that there is not a known issue or bug around this.
Apps like Zoom often separate camera and microphone selection which can result in video working while audio does not get used automatically
I would check the following:
- Verify whether your app is using a separate microphone input instead of the NDI audio
- Test the same NDI source with another tool like Studio Monitor to confirm audio is present in the stream
- If audio is confirmed in the NDI stream but not in Virtual Input then this is likely a workflow limitation.
I would try going through the steps in this troubleshooting guide if the above all fails: https://docs.ndi.video/all/faq/troubleshooting-guide
