After Effects and Premiere Mercury Transmit without NDI Output option

Just got a fresh windows 11 install and trying to use NDI out from after effects and I cannot get the NDI output option after enabling Mercury Transmit. Premiere has the same problem.

Installed latest NDI Tools 6.1.1. All other software can seeand send NDI streams normally. Tested on OBS, disguise and Resolume Arena on their latest versions. Virtual Monitor confirms that the strams are present and working fine.

Adobe CC latest version. After Effects V25.1.0, Premiere V25.1.0

Already tried to disable firewall and anti virus. Already changed network from private to public. Restarted apps and windows a few times with those different settings.

Am I missing smoething? How could I make it work?

I did not find anyone talking about this specific issue online.

My hardware is:

CPU Ryzen 9 7950x

Mobo ProArt X670E-Creator Wifi

64GB RAM

GPU Nvidia RTX 6000 Ada Generation

Are you seeing the NDI output checkbox to enable in Preferences>Playback in Premiere?

I'm running Premiere v25.1 with NDI Tools 6.1.1 and can see the NDI output working. This combination of applications is working.

Hello Kane, no there is no NDI outupt checkbox in neither Premiere or Affter Effects.

Also I would like to point out that the "Transmit Device Playback" list was empty the day I posted here. Today checking again after your message I saw that for some reason (there were no software alterarions on the machine) the list got populated with some options.

That is what is missing and why it doesn't appear.

Did you install NDI Tools before Adobe Premiere? This plug-in only gets installed if Premiere (or After Effects) is detected on the system. In this case, install NDI Tools again and see if that gets it going.

In rare cases, having multiple copies Premiere installed (or having updated thru multiple versions) might cause confusion for what is installed Adobe wise. Best way I know to clean up this aspect is to uninstall all copies of Adobe Premiere (or After Effects), then after they are all removed, install just the latest version, then install NDI Tools.

Thanks Kane. The problem was installing Adobe CC after the NDI tools software. Now I have it working perfectly.

If I may ask for a feature request:

Make it tha the After Effects and Premiere buttons under the plugins section of the NDI Tools launcher, instead of just launching the software, to actually check if the dependencies for the NDI Output are present and inform the user if not, give the option to install it or prompt for a reinstall of the NDI tools. And on the documentation page clearly state that the user needs to install NDI Tools after the Adobe software for it to work. I might have missed that on the documentation to be honest.

Also the gear icon under the settings column on the NDI Output option is pointing to an inexisting documentation page.

You were very helpfull and pointed me straight to the solution. Thank you very much!

Hi,

I seem to be having this problem as well. Thing is, I had After Effects installed on this computer previously, and then installed NDI. I also only have one version of AE installed. I've tried resarting after installation, reinstalling, and still nothing. Any help would be appreciated!
