ZoomRoom

Please forgive my NDI ignorance... I need for one of our zoom rooms to get a feed from one of our network PTZ Cameras. I understand I need a NDI interface, but I have no clue which one and how to configure.

Will someone please help out this NDI Newbie?

Hi David,

Have you downloaded NDI Tools?
https://ndi.video/tools/

That would be where you start. After that you might want to start out with Studio Monitor to view your sources from your camera which you can select using Webcam Input. I've included some articles about both below.

Studio Monitor - https://docs.ndi.video/all/using-ndi/ndi-tools/ndi-tools-for-windows/studio-monitor
Webcam Input - https://docs.ndi.video/all/using-ndi/ndi-tools/ndi-tools-for-windows/webcam-input

thank you. Yes, I have downloaded and installed NDI tools. I have two Network cameras. I think I just need ManyCam to attach to the camera and convert to NDIS stream, then have ZoomRoom look at that NDIS

What kind of PTZ cameras are they, do they have NDI output? Typically, you use ManyCam to take an NDI signal and turn it into a virtual webcam (if this is what you need, then NDI Webcam can do the same thing).

But to better answer, it would be helpful to know what kind of PTZ cameras are being used.

SMTAV and Tenvo - I know value price "chinese stuff" (I hope everyone enjoys my cleanup of the prior phrase). all i see is settings for ONIF, RTSP, RTMP, SRT. With ManyCam, I just point to the Cameras rtsp stream, and hit Stream >> Allow NDIS Output... again please forgive my ignorance onthis subject

Both of those companies show camera model with NDI output capabilities. If these are models that don't offer that, then ManyCam is probably your solution. You could also accept RTSP and convert into NDI using VLC Player with the free NDI plug-in (that what is a bit more manual setup).
